MAKING {A} MENDS

Join me and the awesome ladies from The Pie Shoppe for an afternoon of stitching, sipping, and snacking!

We will explore the possibilities of Hitomezashi Sashiko ("one-stitch" style) as a form of functional embroidery. Students will learn pattern application and proper stitching technique by customizing their own tote-bags. These skills will then be used to repair or renew a garment brought from home.

This four hour workshop is designed so you can embrace the joys of hand stitching, without feeling rushed. Have a slice of pie, socialize, and learn a new skill. You'll leave this workshop with the knowledge and materials you need to start your personal mending journey.

Your ticket includes:

One slice of pie and beverage of your choosing (courtesy of The Pie Shoppe)

Skein of white Sashiko Thread

Blue Embroidery Thread

Pack of two Sashiko Needles

Silver Thread Snips

Canvas & Cotton Fabrics

Hitomezashi Patterns

3 Geometric Patters

Pattern Transfer tools

Tote Bag (handmade by MAKING (A)MENDS)

Additional Snacks
